The SmartWork project is developing a set of services to facilitate a "Smart, Age-Friendly Living and Working Environment", addressing the challenges faced by office workers as they grow old. These services address aspects like accessibility, work-flexibility, and health in the office work environment. One of the services that is targetting health is called the "HealthyMe" service, and it consists of various data-collection components, reasoning (AI) components, and front-end applications for web and mobile. The HealthyMe mobile application includes a virtual companion, called Amelia. You can see her in action in some of the mobile application design screenshots below.

Amelia's dialogue is driven by the WOOL Platform, allowing the health experts to directly contribute to the health monitoring and coaching content provided by the coach. Additionally, the SmartWork project will focus on improving the intelligence of Amelia, through additional features of the WOOL Platform and integration with intelligent background services.
